Back to Full Blog

Past four days, bounced back and forth between 135-136lbs

Daughter still needs to kick more ass cardio wise...weight loss is slow to come.

Son however...wee! Down to 199!!! He started at 208 when he showed up at the airport June 7th! He's a trooper...complaining only a little bit along the way.

Wow you're rocking it. And so is your son? Are you regulating what they eat and how they exercise? Does your daughter want to do this? Just curious and how old is she?

Keep rocking!

I think you guys are doing great. We might be copying each other weigh-in wise, but as long as that keeps going down, that sounds good to me! :)
WHY'D you have to put that delicious tasting picture of french toast up?????!!!!! Ah...that is a craving that is going to attack me all day. I'm going to want to go buy some Texas Toast and make some homemade tasty 'breakfast/dinner' LOL!
But I won't...everyday there is SOMETHING that I want that's not healthy. So, I'll just ignore that intense craving.
lol.
hope you are doing great today!

Hey Ms.Phat! My son is an easy go about getting him to exercise. He doesn't put up much of a fuss. The hard part is dealing with his food dislikes. Very picky eater (mostly meat, no veggies) and that might work with his father in FL but up here I make him eat vegetables and lean meat, not a lot of sugar and ONLY water.

But he's leveled off at 201 for a couple of days so it's time to increase the cardio I guess.

Daughter is 17-1/2 and started her first job so that and her babysitting jobs keeps her busy and she's dropped 8 lbs since coming up here 3 weeks ago! So she's on her way. She's only 5'1 (even shorter than me!) Her goal, 120 and I think that is very healthy and fit and she'll get there. She works out at least three times a week.

Hey thanks for asking!

I appreciate the concern!

Well thanks Lulu. Seriously, and I'm almost ashamed to admit that it was all that wine I was drinking...man, I could have done this two years ago and saved myself the agony and horrible self esteem issues...had I just knocked off the damned alcohol!!!

But noooo...I had to drink and not work out and then kvetch for years...

Never again...I swear!

Thanks for stopping by!

Yeh, but Ash, I was the one sitting there in the middle of the night WITH the damned craving...it was killing me!

I satisfy my sweet morning tooth each day with cinnamon toast however...that seems to hold me over 'til my afternoon fruit break.

But then the eating aspect was never the problem..it was the alcohol and sitting on my ass...

Things have changed!

Finally.

And not a minute too soon.

French toast...that was cruel, wasn't it...my bad!

Hi Sammy! Yeh, been doing this since fiance got the weight machine for us (mostly me, he is sooo busy he has little time to use it!) and since he bought a package of 3 training sessions. (Too expensive to keep THAT up, besides, I'm no stranger to being in shape! I mean for many years people paid me to exercise! (dance teacher, cardio dance instructor)...

So the gal came in, taught me how to properly use the machine and gave me a program to follow and I did for awhile but settled into my own groove, as I am also no stranger to gym equip. I used to work at one and had a free membership for years! I was a gym rat!)

BUT the problem Sammy, was I wasn't exercising enough even after the equip. came in (we also have had a tread for a couple of years.) I spent 2 months March-May doing about an hour BUT I continued to drink my wine and gin and tonics and beer. And then I wondered why I wasn't losing the weight! duh!!!

So when the kids came up June 7th (and stay til school in Aug.) I PROMISED them and me that as part of me being a good role model, I would GIVE UP ALCOHOL and work out with them M-F for an hour and a half.

And I've stuck with it and since they came, the past three weeks, I've gone from 141 to 134 (just today! I'm so excited, I haven't been 134 since late '05 I believe!!!)

And that's my story!

How much are you looking to lose and your daughter? My daughter came to me 148 on a 5'1 frame...that's not healthy. We are shooting for 120 by the end of the summer for her. That's reasonable and do-able.

My son was 208...he's 201 now.

My road back to good health continues!

Stop by anytime and let US know how YOU are doing..

(us-me and mah sisters in the struggle and road to health)
