Back to Full Blog

Well...I was hoping for 136 but hey, it's just around the corner! I was just telling Polar Bear that my goal is to be sitting on the couch 11 weeks from now watching my fav. summer show, So You Think You Can Dance at about 130! I haven't been 130 since maybe Nov. of '05 for crying outloud!

And if I could be 127 that'd be even better!

My history:

July 24th, 2005-fiance and I (re)meet each other after not seeing each other since 9th grade! (1977)...he is 155 (too skinny for me and living a vegetarian lifestyle imposed on him by a looney soon to be ex wife.) and I am all of 119-120 and "complaining" I'm too fat. I was a size 6-7

August-123lbs

September-127'ish

October- 129lbs

November- 130-133'ish

December 2005- 135lbs

Dec. 2006 (oh gawd, I was 145 around Christmas)

Jan 2006 and then it was pretty much it for the next year and a half. Then I hit the all time high of 146 for a day or two. And once I was 138 for a day (go me) but usually I've averaged 140-142.

Rubble

PS) Son is 201, down from 208 when he came to me last Saturday! GO Gemini Boy! Daughter 144 fiance and I have offered her a small shopping spree when she hits the 10lb mark...nothing like a shopping spree to inspire a woman to lose weight..but she is NOT to do it in a unhealthy manner! That's the catch!

I have about 80 lbs to get rid of. I would even settle for 75...I don't want to be the weight I was when I met and married my husband. I was a size 5/6 with ROOM and looking back at my pictures, I don't think ANYONE should show that much bone. I have not stepped on the scale at the gym yet becuz I didn't want to faint. But...it is time. I have my gym visit to make. okay...up off my duff...off I go...

Right after I left the ex..May of '01 I weighed 124 (again I'm only 5'2 so it was o.k. looking.) But a month and a half later I was 108!!! I never looked so bad! I couldn't hold anything down,(pooped water) I was tired, listless, my skin looked a bit translucent (which for someone of hispanic heritage, is saying something!) and my stomach was extra saggy (three kids, you know the look!) I always thought man, if I could get down to 110 again like when I was 19, I'd be HOT...well wasn't I surprised when I hit that mark...at 38 it looked horrible. Maybe it would be better looking had I been toned and in shape. I'm thinking 118-120 suits me fine! And add some tone to that and I'll be a happy camper!

Have fun at the gym Heather!

I have a bowl of cereal (fiber) in the morning (with some fruit or strawberries sliced on top or just toast and coffee...

Lunch...I'm bad...I skip.

Dinner, fiance is always good about cooking healthy things.

Snack..well uh, tonite, banana splits but normally it's either popcorn or ice cream...but since going off alcohol...I tend to WANT MY DAMNED ICE CREAM..but only two scoops! I make the most of it!!

I'm not an over eater nor am I an emotional eater...my problem was always under exercising the past two years...but with my kids up here for the summer, I tend to do more and again, like I said, I have two overweight teens and I'm trying to be their physical trainer as well. Were all in this together. My 19 year old son hates vegetables oh great so I have to have him take vege vitamins. I myself love vegs and fruits so that's not a problem...

Oh and let's not forget our WATER!!! 64oz. a day whether I like it or not...but I could never drink that much and work at the same time...I'd always be in the bathroom! Luckily I'm on an extended work hiatus! So a toilet is never far away!

I walk at least 50 mins a day and for the most part keep my heart rate in the zone where my metab. is boosted (I have a heart rate monitor for this purpose.)

I do weight bearing exercises and as a former dancer, I know the importance of stretching for tone and flexibility.

Hope something in this comment helps.

Have a great Sunday evening!

I know you can do it Rubble! I really need to get on the bandwagon and shake my booty and shake off some of this blubber while I'm at it.
My weight skyrocketed after my hysto that I had 8 years ago and because I could hardly walk or get around for a year before my knee replacement. I've lost about 15 lbs since the new knee but I got about 60 more to go to be where I want to be.

I got ya bookmarked now so I can cheer you on girly.

SYTYCD is on tonight!! I am sooooooooooo pumped for it.!!! Pop Me Baby! Pop Me!

I LOVE it!!

Bear Hugs!
